8:Adobe recommendation:

Adobe has confirmed that it will be not supporting its own technology flash player.

After 31 December 2020 Adobe is not supporting the flash player and has blocked the content from January 2021. Adobe highly recommended to its users to uninstall the flash player to save their systems.

There is no change in Microsoft's general policy for Windows users regarding Flash Player, which has largely been replaced by open web standards such as HTML5, WebGL and WebAssearch. Adobe has been barred from releasing security updates since December 2020.


However, Microsoft has now outlined ongoing support for enterprise users who rely on Windows, Microsoft browsers and Adobe Flash for business applications.

To help such users, Microsoft Edge will allow Adobe Flash Player to be loaded as a plugin through the Internet Explorer mode feature. Inherently, Internet Explorer 11 will also allow it. Once you switch from Microsoft to Adobe Flash Player, it will be treated like any other third party plugin and will not receive customer support from Microsoft.Adobe, meanwhile, has offloaded its support responsibilities for the American audio company Flash to Harmon, which Samsung bought in 2016 and now uses as an affiliate services business.


Explaining in a blog post, Adobe said, "Enterprise users may still need Flash Player commercial support and licensing after 2020 to run internal business systems (ie, the company's intranet, interactive dashboards, digital training)." ۔ "After December 2020, you will not receive the "Security Update for Adobe Flash Player" from Microsoft, which applies to Microsoft Edge Legacy and Internet Explorer 11.


"Starting January 2021, Adobe Flash Player has been disabled by default and all versions older than the KB4561600 released in June 2020 will be blocked. Capable resources will no longer be available. "Microsoft also released an update called "Update to Remove Adobe Flash Player" via the Microsoft Update Catalog for Windows Update and WSS for users to download manually. The update kills Flash Player permanently on Windows.


Windows users will be able to install this update from the Microsoft Update Catalog.


Microsoft says the flash removal update will be available in 2021 as an Windows update and an optional update to WSUS.
